My Figure’s New Best Friend

I have a new love! She is a doll! I keep her at our cabin so she won’t compete with my old friend at home. She helps me trim my waist. This morning when I put on my jeans–there was no tug to snap them shut! Oh no–my new best friend and my old friend are collaborating for the good of my hourglass figure. What a team!

Her name is Blendtec. She makes the yummiest green smoothies and divine soups so fresh it’s like Mother Nature prepared them in a garden and served them right there among the vines, carrots, and greens.

I found her at Costco one day. I was casually browsing this behemoth of delights when I came upon the Blendtec man–preparing green smoothies, enticing soups and spinach ice cream–“without the guilt,” he said. Let me tell you, spinach ice cream is sensational! I gave the cook the ultimate compliment–“the recipe? Please!”

Well I left Blendy there that day, but returned the following day to bring her home and carry her up to her new home at “the cabin.”

You see, at home I have Vita–that would be VitaMix. She has lived in my kitchen for over ten years. I use her occasionally, but when I met the Blendtec man–something clicked! He had the secrets that I needed to maximize Vita’s purpose in life and to bring Blendy on duty when I am away from home. In fact, she is so light-weight that I envision traveling with her! What a trooper!

So now I have both–Vita and Blendy! What a coup! What a resource. What accountability partners!

Forget counting calories! Forget reading labels! Forget dieting!

Now I just purchase the stuff without the labels–the proceeds of Mother Earth’s richness–straight from the rich soil–no labels, no preservatives, no secret ingredients that make me wince as I put them in my precious body.

And the magic is–my cravings are gone! Simply gone! Blendy and Vita have helped me easily say “no thank you” to counting calories on the SAD (Standard American Diet).  Just like that!

Raising a glass of good to your flourishing health!

About Your Flourishing Life

As a child, Marlee Huber loved to ramble through gardens sampling juicy berries and delighting in the heady fragrance of roses. As an adult, she thrills at maintaining a country garden in the foothills of the Washington Cascades. Something happened in 2012 that changed everything for Marlee. She followed the love of her life as he bicycled across the continent from their home in the NW to his brother's home in the Virginia. Ninety days later she came home and has never been the same. After photographing the backroads and hamlets across America--all on auto, she came home and took an online photography course, read dozens of books on technique and vision and stepped out into a new career. Her passion is coaching young people to discover their brilliance. She calls it Life-Themes Coaching and during one nearly half-day session, she unpacks what makes you brilliant and one of a kind. Then she matches the discoveries with a photography session where she tells the story of your life with her camera. In her personal life, she is a wife, mother, and grandmother delighting in her flourishing family!
