I glanced over the subscription email and thought “there has to be a mistake!” My name was mentioned! What? The author referenced an email I had sent him a few days earlier as one of the 11 highlights of his week. This blog was linked as was our website www.womensleadershipadvantage.com. Befuddled, I pointed it out to my friends around the table. We were “all astonishment” in the words of Jane Austen’s character Caroline Bingley.
Now I have emailed a lot of people that I have met online. Never before has someone so graciously responded to my email and then gone on to give me wider visibility! This is a first!
Then it hit me, Dr. Peck knows how to play the social media/networking-on-line game. He knows how to create visibility for others so that everyone wins. He is a team player. I had accepted his offer to be his team mate as a subscriber to his online material. I had emailed him my appreciation for his program Webinar777. I had taken action! Now he was promoting my team!
In the same spirit, I recommend Dr. Peck’s http://journal777.com/. Subscribe to 30-days-to-breakthrough. Register for his webinars. They are amazing. Join some of his six-week coaching programs. Dr. Peck is a team player. It’s not just about his team–he’s committed to helping you win your pennant as well. Email him and begin a conversation!
Thank you, Dr. Peck for modeling for my group how to play the game well. I look forward to the day when I won’t be dumb founded by a mention of my name in someone’s subscription newsletter.
A good question to ponder: Who can I reach out to today? Whose team can I offer wider visibility so they can gain greater influence?
Now go develop some on-line friendships and be “all astonishment” in Your Flourishing Life!
